Tuesday Tunes @ The Music Memoirs

Word association week. As I like to do quite often, I link video so you can hear/see the songs. Find any links and click on them to do that.

Country: In A Big Country - Big Country

In a big country dreams stay with you...

Break: This Is How A Heart Breaks - Rob Thomas

This is it now
Everybody get down
This is all I can take
This is how a heart breaks

New: You Make Me Feel Brand New - The Stylistics

God bless you
You make me feel brand new
I sing this song for you
You make me feel brand new
I sing this song cause' you
Make me feel brand new

Instrumental: Minor Swing - Django Reinhardt

Because I watched Chocolat last night. *sighJohnnysigh*

Horrid: Anything by Michael Bolton. RUN. FOR. THE. HILLS.

Bells: The Three Bells - The Browns

Heard this song the other day on the oldies station so it popped to mind first. It's from 1959. The Browns were a family group, and this was the English version of a French song called "Les Trois Cloches". The bells ring out in a little valley town marking three points in a man named Jimmy's life... his birth, his marriage and his death.

Cute: I'm Yours - Jason Mraz

I'm kinda in love with this song at the moment. In fact I've been listening to his album "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." quite a bit lately. But this song is so adorable.

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours...

Cat: Delilah - Queen

Freddie Mercury, writing about his favorite cat! My cats do the same thing for me actually! This song makes me smile.

You take over my house and home
You even try to answer my telephone
Delilah, you're the apple of my eyes
Meeow, Meeow, Meeow,
Delilah - I love you

Mother: Your Mother Should Know - The Beatles

I absolutely LOVE the "Magical Mystery Tour" clip of this song! Click the link...

Let's all get up and dance to a song
that was a hit before your mother was born
Though she was born a long, long time ago
Your mother should know
Your mother should know...

Inspirational: You Gotta Be - Des'Ree

Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead release your fears
Stand up and be counted
Don't be ashamed to cry
You gotta be
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day...

Ah, now I am in a Big Country mood. You have gone and done it! I just adore them.

I keep hearing of Jason Mraz but have never actually heard him. I am going to go give him a listen.

"Your Mother Should Know" is a great song. And yes, Michael Bolton is certainly skin crawly.
